Are you struggling to be completely calm today?
Are you dealing with noisy nerves today?
Is there a storm in your heart/circumstances today?
Well, there is good news for all of us TODAY!
When storms show up: Jesus calms the storm or he calms us if we ask him for help…today!
Mark 4:39 says Jesus got up (from sleeping), and told the wind to pipe down and the sea to be quite and settle down!
Then he reprimanded the disciples by saying to them: ” why are you such cowards? Don’t you have any faith at all?
Why are we such cowards when storms show up in our lives?
Sounds like Jesus is saying it is because we have no faith!
The good news for Christians is we have all been given a measure of faith!
Will we be like the disciples and have to be reprimanded for not exercising the faith he has given us?
When our faith is in Jesus we can have peace because he will never leave us or forsake us!
Remember the wind ran out of breath! So will your storm! Storms never last when Jesus is around.
Jesus, Master of the storm,
We come to you today with thanksgiving because now we have been reminded that you are able to pipe down our noisy nerves when storms show up ! Quite us Lord, settle us down! Give us great courage to believe the wind will run out of breathe and we won’t! Thank you Jesus because you are with us, storms never last! Amen, so be it in Jesus name!! Peace, Be Still!
