We all learned in school what division does, right? It takes things that are larger and divides them into smaller increments!
What do you think happens when division creeps into our hearts as a couple?
When we are heading towards isolation instead of oneness we can bet the prince of demons (read Luke 11:14-16) who is satan himself, has become an influence in our lives in some area of our heart!
In My Heart, Christ Home it describes different rooms of our lives! There may be some that we completely open and welcome Christ into and others that we shut the door to and throw away the key and never allow Christ access to!
Our marriage is an area that Christ should have complete access to!
My husband and I have surrendered our marriage to Christ and the way that we invite him into that area of our lives is through prayer!
In the mornings you can find us both on our knees together by our bedside praying as a couple. That word together is crucial here! Yes we still pray separately but we make it a point to pray together also!
As I mentioned, “together” is a very key word here! You might say together is the opposite of division!
When we are together seeking The Lord in prayer it gives him access to work in our hearts and our home!
The prince of demons hates to see couples that pray together! He will do all that he can to divide that one area of a marriage! Don’t let him!
It has been said that families who pray together, stay together!
My husband and I can testify that couples who pray together stay together!
Is your home or marriage headed for division and doom?
Do something radical! Pray “together” as a couple! Surrender your marriage to Christ and allow him to turn your hearts toward each other instead of towards division!
Jesus in your name I pray for couples today! I pray for marriages that are being torn apart by division! I pray that you would work in each marriage a miracle of reconciliation just as you have in my own marriage! I pray that their hearts will turn towards you and that they will surrender their hearts, lives, and marriage to you through praying together! Give them grace to get to this better place today! Wipe out division and be the glue that holds marriages together! Help each husband and each wife turn towards oneness with their spouse and turn away from isolation and division! With you all things are possible! Protect my marriage and the marriage of others from Satan! May he not be allowed to divide and bring doom to homes, hearts, or marriages! Thank you for hearing and answering this prayer and every other prayer that is prayed against division in our homes and marriages!
