I remember watching Dancing with the Stars in it’s 11th season and was introduced for the first time to a young man named Michael Paul Sorrentino.

He was better known by his nickname “The Situation”. I am not sure why he was called that but I do remember that quite often he was showing his so called “six pack” to the watching media world. Apparently he worked out often.

Another thing I remember was that he was eliminated fairly quickly off the dancing competition show. Dancing apparently was not his best skill set.

The Situation apparently had many “situations” in his life as many of us do. At one critical time in his life, he entered himself into rehab to get off prescription drugs.

He was also sued by a famous clothing store that did not want him to wear their clothes and he counter sued. Not to mention all the situations he got himself into on the popular reality show “Jersey Shores”.

All that being said about “The Situation”, what about us?

What about our situations? Are there some situations in our lives that we would like quickly eliminated?

One definition of the word situation is a critical, problematic or striking set of circumstances.

I know I have certainly had some situations in my life. What situations are you facing today?

The Bible clearly tells us what to do in every situation.

Don’t be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving , present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4:6-7 NIV

I am not sure where “The Situation” is today or what he is doing or what situations he may be facing but I do know what is going on in my life and many others that are close to me that I care very much about.

Therefore I find myself very often feeling anxious about some situations in my life and others that I care about.

However, I have learned to pray and ask God for help and I thank him for that help in every situation.

When I pray about every situation I find that I am given a peace in my heart and mind that could only come from God. I don’t understand it but I know he does it when I choose to pray when I am anxious.

I am thankful for a God that cares about every situation of my life.

He cares about what you care about too. If you are in a situation that you are feeling anxious about and want eliminated from your life, ask God to help you. He may not eliminate it as quickly as you might want but he will give you peace about it until he does.

Dear God,

We are so thankful that we can talk to you the most high God and that you love us and care about what we care about.

We bring these situations that we are in to You, Father.

We are very anxious about these situations and we ask that you work these situations out in our lives. We trust that if it needs to be eliminated from our lives that you are working it out and that until you do we believe that you will give us peace to guard our hearts and minds about the situation. Thank you for hearing and answering our prayers and petitions.

In Jesus name we pray, Amen
