🌹A Love Relationship, Not Just a Relationship

Do you wake up with these words on your lips every morning?

“Good morning Father God, I love you”?

Me neither! 🥲

But we should…and here’s why…Because sometimes we should just stop and breathe in this truth: Jesus didn’t come so we could simply know about God — He came so we could know Him. Deeply. Personally. Intimately. Not a distant God on a throne far away… but a Father who leans in close, who calls us His own, who delights in us like precious sons and daughters.

Did you know that from the very beginning, God wanted family? He walked with Adam and Eve in the cool of the garden. That was His heart all along — closeness, connection, love. But sin showed up through bad choices (disobediance) and that sin built a wall we could never climb. No amount of good works, striving, or perfection could fix what was broken.

So Jesus — our Savior, our Bridge, our Way-Maker — God’s one and only Son, stepped in.

He tore the veil.

He removed the barrier.

He didn’t just open a door… He IS the door.

Through His life, His sacrifice, and His resurrection, Jesus gave us more than forgiveness. He gave us access. Access to a Father who isn’t cold or distant, but tender and wildly in love with His children. A Father who welcomes us not as servants tiptoeing in fear, but as beloved daughters and sons running into His arms.

This isn’t religion. This is relationship.

This isn’t duty. This is devotion.

This isn’t performance. This is presence.

So every morning when I wake up, before a task is done, before makeup or coffee or plans… I’m going to whisper, “Good morning, Father God, I love you!” And I know He will be right there. Not because I earned it, but because Jesus made the way.✝️

Friends, the Bible says we don’t just serve God — we belong to Him. We were bought at a price… that price was the very life of Jesus Christ on the cross!

Then came resurrection! Resurrection of a love relationship!

Do you get it? We are loved by God, no longer held to his wrath, because of the life, death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus!

So yes believe in Him — but also know him and know that we are loved by Him.

So today, come close. Sit with Him. Talk to Him. Let Him remind you who you are and whose you are. The cross didn’t just give us salvation — it gave us a relationship rooted in love, sealed with grace, and held by the One who never lets go.

Jesus didn’t just save us — He brought us Home.

So yes!!! I will say it….

“Good mornng Father God, I love you!”

And perhaps saying “Good night Father God, thank you for loving me today”! …should be the last thing on our lips!

Prayer:

Dearest Father in Heaven,

Oh how grateful I am for your Son Jesus. His work on the cross has made my relationship with you a love relationship and I am so honored and privileged to say “Good morning Father God, I love you”! And “Good night Father God, thank you for loving me today!”

In Jesus name I pray, amen
